Vermont Cranberry Company juice featured in Burlington Free Press article

Vermont Cranberry Company was featured in the Burlington Free Press recently, after writer Jake Lahne discovered our fresh cranberry juice at the Burlington Farmer's Market.

Jake found the combination of sharp flavor and fruity acidity to be a revelation, and suggested a perfect application of our fresh cranberry juice in his favorite cocktails. He included recipes for a vermont twist on the classic Cosmopolitan, and a creation of his own, the Slow Cranberry Fizz.

Rural Cosmopolitan

1 and one-half ounces London dry gin
1 ounce triple sec (use something decent, such as Cointreau or Luxardo)
one-half ounce real cranberry juice (unsweetened and Vermont grown)
one-half ounce lime juice

Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice. Shake vigorously, and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a lime wedge or wheel.

Slow Cranberry Fizz

2 ounces London dry gin
1 ounce cranberry juice (unsweetened and Vermont grown)
one-half to 1 ounce simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water) to taste
4 to 6 ounces unflavored soda water

In a tall glass, combine all ingredients. Stir to mix well, then fill glass with ice. Top with soda water. Drink with a straw.
